Andrea M. Zorrilla, aaa has over 15 years of experience in the fine art industry, with dedicated expertise in Modern & Contemporary Latin American art in addition to the Latinx diasporas.

She is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier, national association of independent appraisers dedicated to fine art. Andrea is distinguished with being one of four Certified Members specialized in the field of Latin American art in the United States; of these four, she is the only Certified Member currently based in the state of Florida. Certified membership is the highest level an appraiser can achieve.

She has been interviewed by the press for her subject matter and market expertise, and has been recognized by One art nation as one of miami’s top art advisors.

andrea is a sought-after guest speaker and panelist/moderator,  regarded as a valuable, expert voice on the markets for Latin American art and latinx diasporic production. andrea has both presented and moderated insightful conversations on various relevant market topics, inclusive of: responsible transacting in the art market, the collecting currents of Latinx art AND the women surrealist artists of latin america, among others.


Andrea most recently served on the National Programming Committee of ArtTable, the foremost professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the visual arts. She also previously served on the Steering Committee for the World Monuments Fund Moi Circle.

Prior to establishing AMZ Art Advisory & Appraisals LLC in 2022, Andrea held the role of Vice President, Specialist of Latin American art at Sotheby’s New York.

Throughout her twelve-year tenure at the company, Andrea championed and oversaw record-breaking sales for Latin American women artists such as the surrealists Maria Martins and Alice Rahon and contemporary artists Olga de Amaral and Zilia Sánchez.

Andrea’s time at Sotheby’s also included passion projects that resonated with her areas of scholarly interest. In 2015 she co-organized the acclaimed private selling exhibition Cherchez la Femme: Women and Surrealism which showcased over 50 works by the most celebrated women artists of the Surrealist movement including Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, and Bridget Bate Tichenor among others. In 2021, Andrea spearheaded the online sale sequence ¡Presente! Artists for El Museo del Barrio, the first dedicated presentation of Latinx artists at international auction.

Andrea graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Economics and Spanish Language & Literature and was awarded her ma with Distinction in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York / University of Manchester, England.

Raised in Naples, FL, Andrea lived in New York City for over 15 years. She recently moved back to her home state of florida; Andrea, her British husband and young son are enjoying living in sunny Miami and spending year-round time outdoors.
